2008: EU Summits
I covered the first EU Summit in 1992 here in Brussels. Since then I have lost count on all the summits I have covered around Europe over the years, of these was I the official photographer for 2 different presidencies. This years amount of summits in Brussels alone was 6. 2 more than normal because of the Georgian crisis and then the financial crisis.
As earlier years I cover the Summits for the Danish media, for whom I am also accredited. If possible I also concentrate on the Swedish and Finnish angel for our own picture agency EUP-Images where I am a co-founder and co-owner.

I like the below picture of the British Prime Minister Gordon Brown who is transported away from the last summit for this year here in December. The person sitting next to him is a civil servant. I just like the picture for some reason which is difficult to explain. It may never make it on print but I don’t mind.
