space passed by many of the members of the parliament and their assistants several times during the day.
His homeless people is created as bronze sculptures at his workshop home in Odense, Denmark. Jens Galschiøt created 13 different in natural size.
The Danish MEP Britta Thomsen invited him to exhibit them in the parliament together with the homeless project UDENFOR (Outside).
Jens Galschiøt was contacted by project UDENFOR if he would join the cause to make awareness for the homeless. He said yes and the next step was to get sponsors for the expensive project of making the sculptures.
Then the financial crisis hit the project and there was no sponsor money. Instead the artist spend his own private money, a loan in the workshop he wisely had invested in Norway. He hopes he will be able to get them back after selling the sculptures when they have finished a tour around Europe.
