Europe is big and the word “exclusive” gives a different meaning when you are told you get an exclusive interview with the President of The European Commission. It’s exclusive, because it’s very difficult to get any at all. When you are among the lucky ones you are not the only one. Normally it will always be together with reporters from other European newspapers.
We had such one exclusive interview Thursday evening. We where five journalists and three photojournalists invited, which makes it a bit more difficult to ask questions and take pictures compared to a real exclusive interview for one media only.
The journalists must wait for their turn to ask questions. Us with the cameras already struggle with the task to be creative with the same, chair, wall, painting and President during 5 years. Because it very often becomes even more difficult taking pictures when there is more than one photojournalist. Workspace is limited and in some cases the photojournalists are asked to leave after a short time. It makes it a challenge to make the optimal eye-catching pictures so the readers becomes interested in reading the articles. Judge yourself if I managed to do just that.
