World Equestrian Festival, CHIO Aachen 2010

Below is some of the pictures I did from jumping horse events at the World Equestrian Festival in Aachen on Saturday the 17 July.
Last time I went there was in 2008 where some of the pictures can be seen here.

NATO Press Conference

Just back from covering the Press Conference held by the new NATO General Secretary Anders Fogh Rasmussen. It will become a monthly tradition where the Secretary General will brief and answer questions from the press. I think he enjoyed his new position, there was something with his eyes and smile.

MEPs first day in Strasbourg

It was the first real day after the elections to the European Parliament and it was a raining, but otherwise a normal day.
“Rasmussen III”

Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso joked about the name “Rasmussen” if one wants to become a Danish Prime Minister at the joint press conference with the new Danish Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen. He is the third prime minister in a row with the surname “Rasmussen”
The old and the young

Maybe not so special but I do like the picture. It shows the old experienced politician and the young impatient and rebellish politician. Greenpeace arrested

Greenpeace held a sitdown demonstration in front of the entrance to the European Union Council building in Brussels. They wanted to block the exit for the Finance Minister, sitting in a meeting inside the building, until they would move the climate issue to the the top of the political agenda.
Police arrested all activists.
